Headache Disorders

Acute episodes of headache or to treat chronic headaches. 100 % Drug-Free.

If you suffer from migraine headaches, cluster headaches, trigeminal neuralgia, tension headaches that are severe in nature, Indy Vital has several procedure options just for you. We understand how debilitating and hard it is to live with severe headaches that may be associated with other symptoms such as facial pain, numbness, and tingling involving the scalp or face, flashing lights, and irritability. Occasionally individuals may become completely disabled due to severe headaches. The pain associated with headaches could become so excruciating that patients become suicidal and there are reports where patients, in fact, had committed suicide due to the lack of control of their symptoms. It is very common for patients to partially respond to pharmacological therapy with medications or to have no response to drugs. Also, some of these medications are related to severe side effects such as the anticonvulsants that are routinely prescribed for moderate to severe headaches.

At Indy Vital, we have several options to help you avoid living your life in pain. These options may be used for acute episodes of headache or to treat chronic headaches. The goal is to try to eliminate the problem or at least decrease their frequency and intensity in patients affected by problem.

Our program is designed so that you can have soft tissue therapy by purchasing à la carte sessions or you can join us by becoming a member of the Indy Athletic Room.

Initial Evaluation

First, upon joining the membership, we will provide you with an assessment which includes a physical examination and a detailed personal and family history. The physical exam is focused on the cardiovascular and musculoskeletal systems. You will be asked about exertional symptoms, the presence of a heart murmur, cardiac conditions, and also if there is a family history of sudden death. (The guidelines of the US medical and athletic organizations do not recommend obtaining an electrocardiogram, blood or urine tests routinely before starting regular physical activity and exercise program. These tests will not be collected unless you are someone who has a cardiac problem, lung disease, bleeding disorder or have a history of musculoskeletal problems, traumatic brain injury (TBI) or other neurological problems.)
